What’s Changing on Instagram Stories?
5 months after the launch of the Snapchat-like feature, Instagram boasts about 150 million daily users giving the former a run for its money.
With numbers like those, the next step was naturally to cash in- which is exactly what’s happening.
Instagram just announced that full screen ads will appear between Stories. The launch is in its test phase with about 30 advertisers on board. While the first batch has the likes of Nike, Coca Cola, Netflix, expect a full roll-out shortly thereafter.
How Will Businesses Manage Ads?
Instagram is also launching new tools to help businesses track the performance of their stories. Within the Business Tools tab, those with a “business profile” can see the reach, impressions, replies and exits for each individual story. These metrics will help brands cater to their target with specific material and will also aid the content creation process.
