We are organizing our first Twitter Chat of the year<\/em>\u00a0tomorrow: The MiB Chat<\/em>! Every month we’ll meet on Twitter (@madeinblog – #mibchat) to address a new topic on which we can discuss and debate. The theme of tomorrow’s MiB Chat<\/em>: How to take advantage of Instagram as bloggers?<\/span><\/p>\n

For this occasion and for all Twitter Chats<\/em>\u00a0you’ll participate to, we wanted to give you tips and tricks on how to be a good participant. Feel free to share your tips!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a01)<\/strong> Do not wait too long to join the conversation. Sometimes we follow a Twitter Chat<\/em>\u00a0from afar\u00a0without daring to integrate into the conversation. But don’t be afraid. Participants in Twitter Chats<\/em> are often very welcoming, I recommend that you choose a topic that really challenges you to feel more comfortable to participate.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a02)<\/strong> Once you have decided to get started, tell your subscribers that a big wave of tweets will be coming their ways because you are joining a Twitter Chat.<\/em>\u00a0In general, we do not like to see 20 tweets in a row from the same person, so it is best to prevent \ud83d\ude09 Plus, you can also share a trick <\/span><\/a>that allows your users to hide the tweets that contain a particular hashtag.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a03)<\/strong> Introduce yourself to the other participants with a short sentence so that other participants know who they’re talking to.\u00a0Example: Hi, I’m Justine. I am a blogger and I look forward to talking with you! #mibchat.<\/span><\/p>\n

And if you decide to interact with just one person, do not forget the point before the @. This way the tweet will still appear in your feed and others can join the Chat<\/em>. Unless of course you do not want your subscribers to follow your conversation!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a05)<\/strong>\u00a0Do not forget the hashtag at the end of each of your tweets! This is one of the most important rules. It allows you to be a part of the big conversation. Plus, other participants will find you easily and will be able to read\u00a0answers to your questions.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a06)<\/strong> Respect the community by staying polite and positive in every situation!<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a07)<\/strong> You want to show that you agree with the tweet of a participant.A\u00a0RT is simple enough. If you want to add a comment but you do not have space for it, retweet the tweet and answer it after, remembering to put the point before the @.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a08)<\/strong> Do not hesitate to ask questions to the host of the Chat<\/em>\u00a0if you do not understand a question.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a09)<\/strong> The\u00a0Twitter Chat<\/em> is not the time for self-promotion and sharing links to your platforms. The objective is to help each other, discuss and exchange while remaining on topic.<\/span><\/p>\n
