A few weeks ago, we told you about Meerkat in our article about the 5 applications of the moment not to miss. Meerkat is a live video sharing application. To use it, nothing more simple, you just need a Twitter account. The application is free and allows you to film and share real-time events with the community. The advantage of the app is that after the live video, you can watch it again which\u00a0is not possible on\u00a0Snapchat for example.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As we said above, before, to use the application, it was essential to have a Twitter account. Which did not please\u00a0everyone. So big change for Meerkat! Now, thanks to the\u00a0new update, and only on IOS, Meerkat is not only connected to Twitter. Now you can synchronize the application with your contacts. You also have the opportunity to register and post your Meerkat videos on Facebook. These new features are only available on IOS but should arrive soon on Android.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s not forget that Meerkat is the main and direct competitor of Periscope. Periscope\u00a0was launched shortly after Meerkat and was acquired by Twitter in March. We suspected that relations between Meerkat and Periscope would tense and we totally understand why Meerkat is getting close to\u00a0Facebook.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
