Easy Holiday Recipes

Christmas is in less than a week… We know, it goes by way too fast. Forget having time to publish that last post you meant to write, find the perfect gift for your aunt/niece/father-in-law or finding a minute to relax. If you’re the one hosting for the Holidays, it can be even more stressful. All of sudden, a household of four transforms into 20.

How is it humanely possible to handle all of that?

Luckily, we’ve found our top 7 easy holiday recipes for the holidays. They require little preparation, but don’t sacrifice that homemade touch.

Consider this a holiday lifesaver 😉

1) Brie with sundried tomatoes

For an appetizer, it doesn’t get any easier than this. Crackers, brie, sundried tomatoes. There, you’re done.

3) Coconut and lime roasted chicken

All right, we’ll admit it. This is the only “challenging” recipe. But how can you resist coconut and lime roasted chicken? The real answer is = none of us can. That’s why if one day, for some reason, you wake up rested and full of energy, give this recipe a try. You simply can’t go wrong.

4) Shortbread cookies

The ultimate holiday delicacy. We highly recommend Émilie Murmure’s recipe, which is straightforward, but oh so delicious.

 5) Chocolate squares

Now the crazy decadent deserts. If there’s one time of the year where you SHOULD indulge, it’s during the Holidays. Winter season has just arrived, which means that you still have at least 4 months to those shave off those “indulgences”. Enjoy.

6) Egg Nog

The quintessential holiday drink? Egg Nog of course. Although egg nog recipes are usually somewhat time consuming, this one is as SHORT & SWEET as it gets.

7) The morning after (no recipe involved)

Your extended family has gone back home and you just want to relax and have an easy-breezy morning. Although you typically love your slice of whole wheat bread with almond butter and organic jam, for some reason it simply doesn’t sound as exciting this morning. Problem is, after all the festivities, you don’t have the energy to continue your cooking marathon.

The solution is simple. Croissants (from the local bakery) and coffee.

Have a break. You deserve it.

Happy Holidays!
