At the beginning of blogging, you could see blogroll everywhere, at least on 80% of blogs. They were there to mainly discover new bloggers. Today blogrolls disappeared, at least they are less present. Why? Because of the fear of being upstaged? Because you forgot? In a concern for aesthetics? Today we want to help you make peace with the blogroll. Here are 5 reasons why you should have (or keep;)) yours!
1 . It allows you to give recommendations to your readers!
Don’t worry, having a blogroll does not mean that you are sending your readers away. On the contrary. If they are reading your blog it’s because your readers enjoy your content. Recommending other blogs is simply a way to help your readers find other blogs that look like you. It also lets them know your tastes, what you like. This is actually a great way to get closer to them by revealing your favorite blogs or daily readings.
2 . Developing relationships
Being a blogger means to be part of a large and beautiful community. Have a blogroll is a good way to connect with other bloggers that looks like you. When they see that some readers are coming from your blog, it is possible that the blogger checks your blog, out of curiosity. Perhaps he will contact you via comments or social media to thank you. This may be the beginning of a beautiful virtual friendship or not 🙂 Who knows?
3. A little bit of visibility
