After Instagram, Snapchat, Periscope, what is the next application that will make us addicted? Hyper perhaps? Hyper is a photo sharing application developed in New York by Dan Frieber.
The difference between Hyper and the giant Instagram? You do not have a profile! When you share photos, you do not share them on your account, but under a hashtag.
You then choose a theme under which you want to publish your photo. Let’s say this is the picture of one of your fashion looks. Simply submit your photo with the hashtag #fashion. Nothing simpler. You can see your photo by searching for the corresponding hashtag. Users can leave comments and vote for your photo by selecting the arrow down which means “no” or the up arrow: “yes.” The more favorable votes you will have the more your content will go up in the results of the application search engine. And on the contrary, the more your image will have negative votes, the more your photo will go down in the search engine and eventually disappear.
This new application also ranks as the application without trolls or harassment. Indeed, your photos are not attached to a profile. You obviously have a username, but if you click on it you can not find any photos that you have previously posted. Also on Hyper users gather around topics of interest such as #tattoo #nature #music, etc. This prevents unwanted comments, because if you try to look at pictures of a subject is that the subject matters to you. The application is more focused on the content rather than on the user profile. You can also post under a pseudonym or anonymously.
So yes it does not mean there will never be any negative comments or derogatory content. But gathering around a common topic helps prevent this. According to the creator of the application, the application users are really supportive and they will not hesitate to vote against content so that it eventually led to disappear. And if that was not the case, the application moderators come into play in order to remove the said picture.
Well, Hyper real competitor of Instagram or just another application doomed to disappear?
