Trends might come and go, but for bloggers and influencers, it’s essential to keep an eye on which ones to adopt and interpret with their own take. This is why thousands of us follow them: to get an idea of what’s fashionable right now and how to make it our own.

In case you missed them, we rounded up the biggest 2019 fashion and beauty trends on Instagram this first half of the year – it’s not too late to hop on the bandwagon! To boost your visibility, you can tag or hashtag the brands you wear as there’s a good chance they’ll share your posts and stories on their own accounts.

Animal prints

Leopard prints

Leopard prints have seen a surge in popularity recently. It’s an easy way to flirt with an animal print without going too wild and it mixes easily with the neutral palettes most of us favor in our wardrobes. If you want to just dip your toe, you can try some of the softer leopard print look-alikes to tame the look.

Polka dots

Another motif that is slowly taking over Instagram and retail stores is the polka dot print. Whether they’re small or large, they are making a comeback in influencers’ wardrobes. On flowy pants, summer dresses or on accessories, polka-dot prints are perfect for adding a retro twist to a look!

Puffed sleeves

There’s nothing better to add a feminine touch to an outfit than wearing a top with puffed sleeves. The bigger they are, the more impact they will have!

Biker shorts

Remember when leggings and athleisure went from cozy at-home wearables to appropriate office wear? We’re currently witnessing the same phenomenon with cyclist shorts – what seemed to be just a fad at first is here to stay for good. If you want to give the trend a go, pick some classic black shorts; if you’re feeling confident, go for a bold colored pair.

Neon colors

Neon is the trend of the summer. From fashion to make up, it’s everywhere. Choose a single colored piece to grab people’s attention in a subtle way or dive in head first and go for a head to toe look. To avoid looking too 80s, make sure your overall outfit feels fresh and modern and pick only one neon shade.

1, 2, 3, Glow

Popularized by the no make-up makeup brands like Glossier and K-beauty, the trend of the hour is an illuminated, and even slightly shiny skin. Products promising a dewy or radiance effect are flying off the shelf in pharmacies and at beauty retailers. Say goodbye to matte finishes and hello to glow!
