Original French 75

The wedding and family blog 100 Layer Cake is hosting a “12 days of cocktails” series. In the latest instalment, they’ve gone back to the original, lesser known version of the French 75, initially created in 1915 at the New York Bar in Paris.

Ingredients
1 oz Cognac
½ oz Lemon juice
½ oz Simple syrup
Top with champagne

Garnish: Lemon wedge

Glühwein

Ingredients
4 Eggs, yolks and whites separated
1 Cup + 1 tablespoon of cane sugar
  ½ Cup of heavy cream
  ½ Cup of milk
1 Cup of panettone infused madeira (Italian spiced bread, which you can drop into a ziplock bag with a bottle of madeira)
  ½ Cup of good brandy

Garnish: Nutmeg and candied peel

Clementine & Cranberry Christmas Punch
