Fashion Week season starts again and you can feel the excitement in the air of the blogosphere. The kickoff of Montreal Fashion Week is tomorrow and will then be followed by the other Canadian cities. As bloggers we are all ready: outfits, shoes, iPad and smartphone in hand as well as the camera (we never come too prepared).
Luckily we just wanted to give some tips to be effective on the ground!
1. Use the Fashion Week hashtag for all of your tweets, photos, Instagram, etc..
2. Do not hesitate to include the twitter account of the designers in your comment. Do some research before not to panic when the time comes, we know that a fashion show is usually too fast to start digging in your iPhone and if in addition the network is slow, you’ll go crazy for sure.
3. Do not forget that whatever you write, it will be read by those interested. Be diplomatic and relevant.
4. Your readers rely on you to see what they don’t have the chance to see. To comment on an entire fashion show with blurry Iphone pictures is definitely not great. Write about your experience, the atmosphere and introduce interesting people or looks that you like.
5. Enjoy a few minutes of a fashion show without being glued to your phone, share your comments afterwards.
6. Ha! and you are forbidden to take pictures with an iPad, unless you want the person sat next to you to hate you forever as he or she will see the fashion show through your iPad.
Everything will once again go by too fast, and once again we will be exhausted but we’re can’t wait to see you all there.
