It is that time of the year – Summer is in full swing, the sun is out, the weather is nice, and everyone you know is travelling to amazing destinations. You know what we’re talking about – that time of the year where your Instagram feed is filled with photos of breathtaking beaches, landscapes and views, giving you major FOMO!
Sally Hansen launched its Miracle Gel Cuba Craze collection, with one top coat and five beautiful colours inspired by the latin country, and designed to allow you to escape to the Cuban seaside at any time of the day. Wanting to take it to the next level, the brand hosted a contest, where participants could enter for a chance to win a trip for two to Cuba. To highlight this launch, the brand collaborated with Made in to create a strategic program, spreading the word about the collection far and wide.
Made in recruited 18 Canadian influencers, who were given the mission of creating photos and videos inspired by the products and introducing the Cuba Craze collection as the go-to colours this Summer. The Instagramers and YouTubers then invited their audience to participate in the contest by clicking on the link in their bio, which re-directed users to the brand’s website.
Due to its strategy which relied on the selection of the perfect influencers and thorough guidance throughout the content creation process, the campaign generated over 40, 000 engagements and reached over one million people.
