Montreal: Exploring Petit Laurier!

Ten minutes away from Laurier metro station, right next to its homonymous park, sits Petit Laurier: a friendly neighborhood with a strong sense of community. With Laurier East as its main artery, it is a true microcosm that harbors various cafes, restaurants, grocery stores and bakeries.

Here are 6 stops worth making in Petit Laurier!

Rhubarbe is one of Montreal’s hidden gems. Their cakes and baked goods, often prepared with seasonal produce, are divine. Slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of east Laurier, the bakery is a great place for an afternoon tea, and one of the neighborhood’s brunch destinations —tested and approved by Instagrammer Cindy Boyce.

During your visit, enjoy St-Henri coffee —from a single origin and roasted in Montreal— as well as grilled cheeses made with cheese from Maître Corbeau, right next door. This sense of community is much appreciated by neighborhood locals, and Lapin has quickly become a Petit Laurier HQ. @mtlcafecrawl fans beware: you might fall for this coffee joint!
