At Made in, we make sure to stay on top of the latest trends circulating on the internet. After the 24 hour challenge and the mannequin challenge comes the newest craze making its rounds on YouTube – the “Dad does my Voiceover Challenge”.
The concept is simple: beauty gurus film a regular makeup tutorial, but have their fathers record the voiceover for the video. The result? Well, as you can imagine, most dads don’t know much about the beauty world, resulting in hilarious descriptions that reveal their unique take on beauty products and makeup techniques, which are often way off.
The trend originated from a viral video where a father’s funny voiceover caught the attention of millions. Many YouTubers have since then decided to give the challenge a go, giving birth to different variations of the challenge. Here are a few of our favorites:
There is no better way to start than with the queen of YouTube, Jenna Marbles. Ever since she created her channel in 2010, Jenna has mastered the art of viral videos, building a very engaged community of over 16.7 million people. Seeing this trend as an opportunity to make another hit video, Jenna had her boyfriend join in and the result is amazing!
